The present King Mohammed VI plans to develop six purpose built tourist resorts along the coast, at the coast of $4.2 billion.
- Taghazout developed by Palais des Roses offshoot of Saudi Arabian company Dallah Alkbaraka
- El Hauzia near the city of El Jadida
- Khemis Sahel
- Mogador near the town of Essaouira
- Plage Blanche near Guelmin
- Saidia-Maroc
Additionally Al Ghantout of the UAE is builing three hotels in Marrakesh for $22 million.
